Thanksgiving is only a month away which is crazy! And I love all the holidays but Thanksgiving is extra fun because to me it’s really all about being thankful and spending time with family and friends. This equal pure joy to me. So while there’s still time to savor the Thanksgiving season and get ready for the holiday I wanted to share a few Thanksgiving essentials to get you ready and in the holiday spirit!
Host & Hostess Gifts
If you’re planning to attend a get together for Thanksgiving or over the holiday season then why not make it extra special with a little something extra for the host or hostess! Personally I think wine is always a good idea (although I know that’s not true for all) but why not 2 bottles plus a super cute tote for the bottles?! If you need more gift ideas be sure to check out my fall home decor blog post or my Pinterest boards!
Dinner Table Decor
Depending on the size of your gathering adding special touches to the place settings and centerpieces is a fun way to bring more joy to all the guests. One super easy idea is to use gift or luggage tags and write out everyone’s name. Or even more fun use mini pumpkins and hand letter on them!
Smells Like Thanksgiving
We all know that the smell of a Thanksgiving dinner is pretty amazing. But you might as well step it up a notch with even more good smelling things! I am in love with the fall scents whether it’s Thanksgiving day or just a random Tuesday. I like to try out different combinations throughout the home to bring a homey feel. I especially love this pumpkin candle and essential oil blends.
Give Thanks
Another Thanksgiving essential is to actually give thanks! This can look so many different ways from just going around the table and saying what you are thankful for to something a little more unique! Either way it really is joyful and can set the tone for a great holiday season. A really fun thing that can also play into your decor is to use kraft paper as a table cloth and have all of your guests write on it what they are thankful for. Or you can do the same idea but use a chalkboard. It’s a great way to have fun with hand lettering at the same time which is a win win for me!
