Burlesque Brand Design: Mood Board
VVC Designs came to me as a brand new business that needed a branding package that brought her burlesque costume design business to life. We started with pulling together inspirational images and color palettes to create a mood board. The final burlesque brand mood board included the final color palette along with imagery that represents the feeling of VVC Designs.
Logo Design
Neoclassical, Intricate, Burlesque
I started the logo design for VVC by building on the elements from the mood board along with sketches and other research. The logo is meant to invoke a feeling of high quality and uniqueness. Especially since VVC Design’s end products are one of a kind burlesque inspired pieces.
The final logo is neoclassical based with intricate line work drawn into the VVC letters. The logo also includes a nod to Mardi Gras with a stylized fleur-de-lis integrated into the ornate lettering in various ways.
Style Guide
Coming up with the final logo was just the start of bringing the brand coming to life. Adding color and creating variations of the logo completed the project. The main colors are a deep plum and gold to give a luxe feeling. While the typeface is Bodoni, a neoclassical font that pairs perfectly with the logo. The last main element we included is smoke. We wanted to give the burlesque brand the feeling of movement and mystique to complete the package.
All of these elements combine to create a unique burlesque brand for VVC Designs.
