Proof & Parchment has recently launched a Patreon page, which is super exciting! However I know that not everyone has heard of Patreon before so I wanted to do a fun Q&A all about it. If you want to jump to the page right away then click here. If you have questions just keep on reading. And if I missed anything just leave a comment so I can answer right away.
What is Patreon?
In a nutshell Patreon is an online platform where users can create pages to share specific content with their “patrons” In other words it’s a place where you can support entrepreneurs, podcasts, artists, & other creators! If you want to learn more about what Patreon is from Patreon check out what they have to say here.
Why Does Proof & Parchment have a Patreon Page?
I’m all about using multiple avenues to share joy with others through Proof & Parchment. This is why I run my Etsy shop with thoughtful gifts featuring custom hand lettering and calligraphy. This is also why I write a blog so I can feature articles about running a small creative business along with behind the scenes of the design process and much much more.
Along these lines I’m also very passionate about #snailmail and connecting with people in a non digital way. So I started thinking about ways to make this easy for others to partake in sending fun greeting cards regularly and not just for special events. Because who doesn’t love getting a random greeting card in the mail?! This led me to wanting to start a greeting card subscription service and landed me on Patreon!
So long story short: I want others to send more greeting cards year round while also expanding Proof & Parchment’s greeting card line = greeting card subscription service through Patreon!
Why Should I Become a Patron?
It’s super hard for me to self promote, but I know it’s important. Especially because I really believe in supporting other small businesses. And while Patreon is definitely not the only way to support Proof & Parchment, it can be a fun way to do so since you get rewarded with actual goods!
By becoming a patron for Proof & Parchment you will not just be supporting the business but you will also receive custom designed & professionally printed greeting cards every month. You can then use these cards to send to your own friends & family. Which goes back to the core of my business of spreading joy to others!
Ok, So How Does This Patreon Thing Work?
First off it’s super easy! All you have to do is go to my Patreon page here and join any tier you want. The tiers range from $1 to $20. Depending on the tier you pick you could receive exclusive discount codes, monthly downloadable freebies, regular behind the scenes videos, and greeting cards.
You can sign up to be a patron at any time and also cancel at any time. For my page as soon as you sign up you will receive the reward based on your tier. For example if the tier includes a greeting card, as soon as you sign up you will be mailed the greeting card for that month, even if it’s the 31st!
Can You Explain the Tiers A Little Bit More?
So there are various tiers you can pick from and each Patreon user can set up their tiers differently. For Proof & Parchment I have mine broken into 4 different tiers:
- Proof & Parchment Supporter $1 per month: You’ll receive exclusive discount codes, monthly downloadable freebies, regular behind the scene videos.
- Snail Mail Newbie $6 per month: You’ll receive exclusive discount codes, monthly downloadable freebies, regular behind the scene videos + an EXCLUSIVE greeting card EVERY MONTH!
- Snail Mail Junkie $12 per month: You’ll receive exclusive discount codes, monthly downloadable freebies, regular behind the scene videos + an EXCLUSIVE greeting card along with 2 seasonal greeting cards EVERY MONTH!
- Snail Mail Lover $20 per month: You’ll receive exclusive discount codes, monthly downloadable freebies, regular behind the scene videos + an EXCLUSIVE greeting card along with 4 seasonal greeting cards EVERY MONTH!
Anything Else I Should Know?
I think that pretty much covers everything I can think of about Proof & Parchment’s Patreon page. But if I missed anything be sure to ask in the comments and I will definitely answer quickly. Also I know being a patron is not for everyone. So if you want to show your support in other ways you could share this blog post. Every little share, like, comment helps out and means a lot to me!
Thanks!
