Joyful Week at Proof & Parchment no. 5
I hope your week is off to a great start. As I reflect back over the past week there was definitely a lot of joy that I want to share with you and there might be a small unintentional theme this week (aka I like fun drinks – cold brew coffee & wine!) so I hope you enjoy it.
Cold Brew Coffee
Since the weather has warmed up I have switched over from hot to cold coffee! It’s one of my favorite things this time of the year and brings me so much joy every morning to sip on my cold brew coffee. Plus it’s so super simple to make. All you do is add 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per 8 ounces of water, mix together and let sit overnight for at least 8-12 hours for the best flavor. I use my 51 ounce french press to make it to share during the week. It tastes so much smoother than brewing hot coffee and diluting over ice.
1/2 Marathon
This past weekend I got to cheer on my other half as he ran his first half marathon! There is so much positive vibes on a race day with everyone so excited to run long distances voluntarily. I’ve done some races in the past, never a half marathon, but it was so joyful to see my husband finish his first one and such a great Sunday.
Wine Tasting
This may be another drink that brought me joy and is actually from a few weeks ago but I still had to share it. I attended a wine & dinner tasting event for my birthday with my husband and had so much fun trying a lot of spectacular wines from a Hungarian vineyard. It was lead by the actual winemaker which made it even more joyful and made turning another year older not so bad!
