Joyful Week no. 20
I missed last week and might have to work on this post being an every other week schedule for a little while and see if that works better. But now on to some joyful things from the past week including new calligraphy inks, going to a music festival, and testing out new products suppliers and designs!
Sziget 2018
Last weekend I went to Sziget which is a summer music festival here in Budapest and it was a blast! I only went on Saturday so I could see Bastille and Mumford and Sons both of whom I am now a big fan of, they were great performers and their music is just so good! I have to say though I definitely felt a little bit “too old” for that type of festival and going for a day versus camping there for 7 days straight was a good decision. Also I might be to the point where I would like my own seat for a concert, standing for 7+ hours straight is a bit much haha. But still such a fun time!
New Samples
I currently sell mugs, prints, and bags in my shop but have wanted to branch out to more stationary products especially so I can do wedding products. So I am testing new suppliers and it’s so much fun receiving the new designs and products! I’ve also started to test print a few holiday items (too soon?) and I have to say I’m really excited for the upcoming holiday season especially since it will be my first one with all of these new items.
New Calligraphy Inks
I have shared my love for new calligraphy inks before and am always excited to try out new colors. And my latest set from LH Calligraphy does not disappoint! (These were a birthday present from my sister) I have a few other colors from LH Calligraphy and they are probably my favorite brand, they write so smoothly and the colors are just the best. My newest colors are aubergine, tuxedo black (because you can never have too many blacks) and smoky blue. I’m already brainstorming ways to use these fun colors in upcoming projects!
